This week we are continuing to simplify expressions by using the order of operations (GEMDAS). A quiz is planned for Wednesday. We will then learn to identify parts of an expression (constant, term, coefficient, etc.). Please make sure that your child has begun working on their unit 3 study guide. Students should be completing parts A and B in order to prepare for Wednesday's quiz.
Please also remember that final exams will be given on December 17th and 18th. 1st and 3rd period exams will be given on Thursday and 2nd and 4th period exams will be given on Friday. Unexcused absences will receive zeros on exams so please make sure that your child will be present for the exams.
It is time again for the math department to hold its annual Winterfest at BMS dance. The dance is Friday, December 11th, from 3:00 – 5:30. All proceeds go towards purchasing math instructional supplies. To keep our costs low and maximize our profits, so we may purchase as many supplies as possible, we are asking parents to donate can drinks. Any donations that you can send in will be greatly appreciated. Donations can be brought to my room.
Drinks, pizza, and candy will be available to purchase. We will also be selling Santa and elf hats.
