The unit 1 test was returned on Friday, and the grades are posted in Infinite Campus. During class on Friday, your child made corrections to their test and should have brought them home over the weekend for you to see. Today in class, your child received the opportunity to add a maximum of 15 points to their unit 1 test grade by answering some questions similar to ones on the original test. Once graded, I will add the points to your child's original grade in Infinite Campus.
We will continue in unit 2 this week by learning the basics of integers and absolute value. Students will also learn how to compare and order rational numbers. Students will have notes on these topics in their math spirals for support at home.
Midterms are scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th and Thursday, October 6th. Math and Social Studies will be on Wednesday and L.A. and Science will be on Thursday. For 6th grade, these tests will just be chapter/unit tests/big quizzes. More details are coming concerning the math midterm.
