This week we are revisiting unit 4, specifically sales tax, tips, and discounts. The students will complete an activity called Pedro's Cactus Tavern. Students will have to use their knowledge of the above concepts in order to take a person's food order and correctly figure the bill. A quiz will be given on Thursday over the same skills. The format will also be very similar to the activity completed in class. The unit 7 test will also be returned on Thursday, so you can look for it to come home.

This week is a short week due to the Charleston field trip on Thursday and Friday. Monday and Tuesday we will review unit 7, and students will test on Wednesday. The unit 7 study guide is due tomorrow. Before tomorrow, students should check their answers with the key posted here to Weebly. Students will also have a spiral check on Wednesday. The spiral check will cover units 6 and 7. Tutoring this week will take place in A squared on Wednesday.
At this time, I am still not able to upload files to Weebly. The people with Weebly are aware of the issue and are working to correct it. Until then, I will have to email things home such as the study guide and study guide answers. I will post all files once the problem is corrected.
Weebly is working correctly again!!! The study guide and answers have now been posted!!! This week we are working in unit 7 as well as reviewing for the Georgia Milestones that will take place next week. In unit 7, we are covering measures of central tendency and variation, dot plots, histograms, mean absolute deviation, and box plots. The unit 7 study guide will go home tomorrow. It is also posted here on Weebly. This study guide will be due on Tuesday, April 21st. We will test on unit 7 Wednesday, April 22nd. Students were also given a Milestones review packet today to complete and turn in by Friday. This assignment will be graded for accuracy.
Tutoring will take place on Wednesday during A squared again this week. Due to testing, no tutoring will take place next week. |
