Students will spend the remainder of the week participating in activities that will allow them to discover the rules for adding and subtracting integers. Notes and examples can be found in the students' math spirals.
Students will take the 2A test on Tuesday. This test will cover concepts presented in parts A and E of the study guide. Extra practice entitled "I Can Statements" have also been posted under the Extra Practice tab. These problems are not required but can be used as another means of studying and preparing for the test.

The coordinate plane quiz from last week will be returned this week. Please look for grades to be posted in Infinite Campus later this week.
This week we are wrapping up the first part of unit 2 by continuing to solve problems on the coordinate plane and by reflecting points on the coordinate plane. We will test over the first part of the unit early next week. More information to come later. The test will cover sections A and E of the study guide. I have also posted some extra practice titled "I Can Statements" under the extra practice section. On Tuesday and Wednesday we will review and wrap up the basics of graphing on the coordinate plane. A quiz over this material will be given on Thursday. By Thursday, #'s 78-86 on the study guide should be completed and checked.
The remainder of the week will be spent digging deeper with graphing on the coordinate plane. Students will be expected to solve problems including distance, area, and perimeter using points graphed on the coordinate. All notes can be found in the students' spirals or in their class notebooks on Microsoft One Note. |
