The study guide should be checked and ready to show me on Wednesday. Students will also be given a chance to ask questions. Final report cards will be mailed home.
It has been a great year!!! I hope everyone has a safe and exciting summer! This week we are wrapping up and quizzing over percent's in real life. The quiz that was planned for Tuesday has now been moved to Wednesday. I am attaching some review problems that can be used at home to study. Next week is the last week of school; therefore, it is time for exams. Students will take their 1st and 5th period exams on May 21st and their 2nd and 6th period exams on May 22nd. The exam will cover one, two, and multi-step equations as well as more percent's in real life. A study guide over equations will go home later in the week. It will also be posted here to Weebly. For the remaining two weeks of school, all tutoring will take place during A squared and lunch. If your child would like help during lunch, they will need to see me ahead of time to schedule a day.
This week is a short week for instruction due to the reading celebration on Wednesday and the Wild Adventures trip on Friday. During our three days of instruction, we will cover sales commission, percent of change, and percent of error. These topics along with sales tax, tips, and discounts will conclude our mini unit of applying percent's to real life situations. I am aiming to quiz/test over these concepts next Tuesday, May 12th. Due to the reading celebration, tutoring this week on Wednesday will be held during the day if and as needed. Students will need to see me to schedule a time.
