This week students will begin participating in activities that will aid them in discovering the rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers. These concepts can be found in Parts B - D of the Unit 2 Study Guide.
I will also return the Unit 2A test this week, so look for that to come home and to post in Infinite Campus.

The coordinate plane quiz from last week was returned today. Grades have been posted in Infinite Campus.
This week we are wrapping up the first part of unit 2 by reflecting points on the coordinate plane. We will test over the first part of the unit on Friday. The test will cover sections A and E of the study guide. I have also posted some extra practice titled "I Can Statements" under the extra practice section. Midterms will be returned on Monday. I will use Jag Academy this week to go over and review the midterms. Each class period has been assigned a day to attend the review session. Grades have been posted in Infinite Campus.
On Monday and Tuesday we will review and wrap up the basics of graphing on the coordinate plane. A quiz over this material will be given on Wednesday. The remainder of the week will be spent digging deeper with graphing on the coordinate plane. Students will be expected to solve problems including distance, area, and perimeter using points graphed on the coordinate. All notes can be found in the students' spirals or in their class notebooks on Microsoft One Note. |
