The Unit 5 test was returned on Monday and will be gone over in class on Tuesday. The grades have been posted in Infinite Campus. In class we are continuing our study of Unit 6 which we began right before spring break. We are discovering area formulas for parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids. We will use these formulas to find the area of complex/composite figures. Towards the end of the week, we will use nets of 3-D figures to help us calculate surface area. Notes for all of this can be found in the students' spirals and on One Note.
The Unit 6 study guide will go home later this week, so look for it to begin coming home. Students should complete problems as topics are covered in class. The answers will be posted here to Weebly.
I will also be assigning a Georgia Milestone's practice test for students to complete at home over the next 2-3 weeks. This test will be accessed through the Edulastic website. Students are familiar with this site and have used it before. The assignment is required and will be taken for a grade. I will post specifics later this week.
