After today’s quiz, we will continue to practice simplifying expressions by combining like terms. To help practice this skill, I have assigned a short homework assignment this weekend entitled, "How Does a Hawaiian Baritone Laugh?" Simplifying expressions is a topic that students sometimes struggle with; therefore, I have included some extra practice problems on the back of today’s homework sheet if your child needs more practice while at home. It is a riddle sheet entitled, “What Do You Call Two Railroad Trains After a Head-on Collision?” This sheet has students practice two important concepts - simplifying and evaluating expressions. I am attaching the answer sheet for you. Thanks and have a great weekend! J
